The Lions vs. The Rams

Preview: Millwall vs. Derby County

The Rams make the journey down south to London to take on Millwall in a clash which could see their unbeaten run extended to an impressive seven games. The game against The Lions is probably the toughest of the seven games, but with the form Nigel Clough's side is showing, they should fear nobody. Four wins from six games have seen his side jump to seventh place in the table and they could move in to the play-off places with a victory in London tomorrow.

Vital Quotes:

Rams defender Shaun Barker recognises the need to keep the unbeaten run going, but knows it will be tough: 'We don't want the run to stop and we know it is harder to keep the run going than it is to start one,' Barker told Rams Player.

'It is about kicking on now, when you're in a run it is tough to keep it going and we know that teams will be gunning for us.

'Millwall is renowned as a difficult place to go to and the atmosphere there is something else if the only time I have played there is anything to go by.

'They've done well this season and had a good start after their promotion, so it will be a tough test for us.'

Kenny Jackett's analysis of The Rams at the moment is simple: 'Derby are on good form of late, they've had a very good run.

'We do our homework and we're concentrating on our performance.'

The Lions Team News:

Kenny Jackett doesn't have any injury problems to contend with. Danny Shittu joined The Lions on a three month deal but may not be fit enough for a start against The Rams.

Player to watch: Steve Morison

Welsh striker Morison struck against The Rams in a 1-1 F.A. Cup draw at Pride Park last season. He has 24 goals in 55 games for Millwall and is always causing trouble for defences.

The Rams Team News:

There are no new injury worries for Derby but Nigel Clough must decide whether to bring back experienced duo Robbie Savage and Shefki Kuqi in place of the younger figures who did so well against Doncaster

Player to watch: Kris Commons

Although the whole team is playing very well, Commons has the spark to win games on his own and has netted an impressive seven goals in 13 games this season, equalling his best season total for The Rams.
