Darren Moore On Paul Jewell

Darren Moore On Paul Jewell

After this week's managerial changes at Pride Park, Darren Moore reacts to the arrival of his former manager Paul Jewell as he prepares to face Sunderland in the Premiership.

'This week has seen the end of an era at Pride Park. On Monday everyone at the training ground, including the players, the management team and the catering staff were all brought together. Billy Davies thanked everyone for their effort and announced he was going to be parting company with Derby.

'The arrival of Paul Jewell marks the beginning of a new era here, that's how I see it. I've known him for a fairly long time, as he was my manager at Bradford back in the late nineties. He is a good guy, a very straightforward manager, and he just wants to work hard. You've got to be completely honest with him, and you've got to show him that commitment and desire to win. He's got a lot of belief and I know from experience that it rubs off on the people around him. That can only be good for the team.
