Defence the problem say Rams fans

Defence number one priority for Vital Derby fans

The latest Vital Derby poll was - Where do the Rams need to strengthen in the January transfer window? The fact`s I`m afraid speak for themselves with 46% saying the defence needs strengthening as the Rams sit bottom of the table and with the worst goal difference -26 from their 13 games.

The dismal display on Saturday against West Ham, another 5-0 defeat, but this was on our own patch, which makes it worse. Yes: we had Dean Leacock and Claude Davis out but we`ve sent two central defenders out on loan, Lewin Nyatanga at Barnsley and Michael Johnson at Sheffield Wednesday, why weren`t they recalled?

The January transfer window can`t come quick enough for Billy Davies, to fill the leaking defence but second in the poll was the midfield with 21%. The Rams service to the strikers has been poor this season and an injection into the midfield is also a must, we need proven quality players to fill the gap and the problem the Rams find themselves in is who wants to come to a club languishing at the bottom of the table.

Davies will do well to get the players rumoured in the press, but they are needed for the Rams to stay in the Premier League.
The other poll percentages were Strikers 20% and goalkeepers at 13%.

The new poll is "Who should partner Kenny Miller up front for the Rams?" Have your vote!!!!!!

Dont know about the defence, more of a new team i think is required. Really dissapointing season upto now.

I think defence is a major problem but you need to score at the other end and your not doing that either!!!

at this level it is probably spred through all areas to be honest..but the defence and the front guys are certainly letting them in at one end and failing to put them away at the other..............
