Earnshaw and McFadden in Rams sights

Another a day another player has been linked to Pride Park. Reports in the press today has said that Billy Davies will try and make Norwich striker Robert Earnshaw his first summer signing as he prepares Derby for the Premiership.

The Rams boss feels the Welshman could form a great partnership with big Steve Howard in attack. Davies is keen to strengthen his squad for the Premier League, and with the Rams earning £60million from the play-off final at Wembley the money is available to strengthen the squad.

The 26-year-old has netted 27 goals in 47 games since leaving The Hawthorns 18 months ago - and Davies is ready to put a bid of around £5million on the table to prise him from Carrow Road for the job.

The Rams boss has started the clean out at Pride Park and a striker is on his wanted list, and it has been reported he is also interested in Everton`s striker James McFadden. It`s been reported McFadden could be allowed to leave Goodison Park for around £4million after failing to hold down a regular place in David Moyes' side in the past few seasons.

He has managed just nine goals from 48 games for Everton and may be keen to work with Davies again.
The Scotland international hit 26 goals in just 52 appearances for Motherwell before moving to Merseyside in 2003, but has so far failed to hit the heights expected of him in the Premiership.

Ernie would be a great signing for you and not to sound to cocky, I am unsure whether he would sign for you if the chances are you will go back down again next season, he played that game with WBA!

Earnshaw would be a great addition to your squad, but BomBom is right its a real deciding factor, of whether your new team can stay up

I think that Earnshaw would be a great signin for us, him and Howard up frunt would give some defenders some problems, earnie with his pace and Howard's flick ones we would score a lot of goals
