Davies rubbishes Rams rumours

Derby County boss Billy Davies has hit out at reports saying a number of players including Paul Peschisolido, Richard Jackson, Paul Boertien and Seth Johnson will be released at the end of the season. A report in the media has stated these players will be leaving Pride Park at the end of the season, but Davies has rubbished these claims.

He said: "Its absolute nonsense and I had a good meeting with all the squad today regarding the reports and speculation.
'As far as I am concerned I haven't discussed the future plans for any of the players as regards who is going and who is staying because at this point we don't know whether we are going to be in the Championship or Premiership.'

Peschisolido, Johnson and Boertien are out of contract this summer and Jackson's contract expires in June 2008. A few months ago Davies said he would review their situations once the season has finished and he said that hasn`t changed.
