Rams recall Camp from QPR

Lee Camp has been recalled by the Rams after first-choice goalkeeper Stephen Bywater was handed a one-match ban.

Bywater will miss the Rams penultimate Championship clash of the season against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday, which could send the Rams to the verge of promotion with a victory.

The Rams have decided not to appeal the FA decision, and Billy Davies said: "We're disappointed to lose Stephen for the next match but in the circumstances it's the best we could hope for, considering he won the original appeal against his red card and then had to face a second charge.

'We were hoping it would be a fine and nothing more but we've got Lee Grant and Lee Camp has been recalled. Stephen's ban opens the door for one of the other keepers to come in and show us what they can do.'

Grant, who came on against Ipswich after Bywater was dismissed and performed admirably, has started seven matches but his last was at home to Birmingham City in mid-October.

Camp has been in great form on loan at Queens Park Rangers since February 12 and helped the Loftus Road club to beat the drop. He played 11 times while with Rangers.
