Rams up in the Sky

Derby have told disgruntled fans Sky TV are to blame for forcing the club into yet another change to their fixture list.
The Rams played Colchester recently on a Friday night and met promotion rivals Birmingham at St Andrews last Friday evening.

Now Derby has been told their Kenilworth Road fixture has been brought forward from the originally scheduled Saturday afternoon on April 21, to the Friday evening.
Rams managing director Mike Horton said: ''We are again the victim of our own success.
''On behalf of the fans, we have made concerted efforts to resist another fixture change, but we have been told the contract between Sky and the Football League gives us no room for manoeuvre so we are obliged to switch the game.

''Sunderland were recently able to refuse a Sky game when we played them at the Stadium of Light, but that was only in view of the fact the game had been re-scheduled for a second time because of our FA Cup commitments and Sky had not given them the amount of notice dictated by the League.``
