Rams Italian heading back home?

Derby County are hoping to decide the future of their Italian under 21`s international Arturo Lupoli in the next month with reports he is heading back to Italy.

Although the Rams don't own his contract - that is still with Arsenal - it appears that Florentine is talking to the Rams with a view to signing him. The pocket rocket has made 25 appearances for the Black & whites, scoring six goals, included his hat-trick in the 3-1 victory against Wrexham in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

There has been much interest from the Italian Seria A in Lupoli and the likes of Milan, Napoli and Inter has all expressed an interest in the youngster but Lupoli himself said that Fiorentina are 'one of the most likely options'.

Lupoli has been on the outer at Pride Park and his lack of first team action may have made his mind up to try and get recognition of his talents in his home country.

Lupoli would have no reservations about going back home to play but feels Italian football can learn lessons from the game in England.

'There have been problems and bad things and it is not good for the image of Italian football,' said the young striker.
'Italy has one of the best leagues in the world and does not deserve to be spoilt by a minority.
'There has been a problem for some time but nobody took action. Now there have been a few changes in the rules about safety at stadiums and fans must understand that football is just a game and going to stadiums must be a good thing for all the family.

'Sometimes families in Italy do not go because they are afraid of what might happen in the stadium. I do not see this in England because so many families come to the game and enjoy their Saturdays."

The talented striker has said he will stay at the rams if they are promoted but it now seems certain he will be going back to his roots. Watch this space!!!.
