PL2 Player Of The Month For February - 2017/18
The Premier League have now announced the six youngsters who are in the running for the February 2018 Premier League 2 Player of the Month Award.
The six players shortlisted for this month's award have been drawn up following PL2 Managers nominating the best individual performance from each of their opposing teams across the course of the month.
And given February's action, the following find themselves on the shortlist.
The Premier League have some blurb on each of the nominations for this month.
Marcus Browne (West Ham United)
A nominee for PL2 Player of the Season in 2016/17, the 20-year-old midfielder helped West Ham claim a 1-0 win at D1 leaders Liverpool and got a goal and an assist in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
Tyrese Campbell (Stoke City)
The 18-year-old Stoke forward, the son of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, is Division 2`s top scorer with 12 goals.
Tahith Chong (Manchester United)
The 18-year-old Curacao-born winger impressed opposing managers in Man Utd's two PL2 matches in the month.
Lewis Hardcastle (Blackburn Rovers)
Blackburn's 19-year-old midfielder has come up through the club's youth ranks. He made five appearances last month, helping Rovers take the lead in Division 2 and secure a place in the Premier League Cup round of 16.
Reece James (Chelsea)
The versatile 18-year-old scored in Chelsea`s 4-0 Division 1 win at Man Utd, one of two PL2 appearances in February. James, who has risen though the Chelsea academy, also featured in the Checkatrade Trophy semi-final against Lincoln City.
Lewis Walker (Derby County)
After four goals in a PL Cup match in January, the Derby striker scored three in four matches last month. The 18-year-old forward also helped the Rams reach the PL Cup round of 16.
