Moore praises Davies after victory

Another superb performance from Vital Derby`s Man of the Match Darren Moore at St Mary`s on Saturday, gave Derby the three points and continued their six point buffer at the top of the league. Moore always felt one goal would settle the clash between fifth placed Saints and the Rams - and felt the Rams deserved their three points. Speaking after the victory Moore said: "It was great for us to get another 1-0 win today and again we showed great spirit and determination to come away with the points.
"Southampton is a very good team and tough to beat at home and in the first half they put us under a great deal of pressure."

Moore praised boss Billy Davies` tactical switch midway through the first half and believes it had a major bearing in the win.
"Gary Teale coming on changed the game for us and we finished the first half well, and the second half was there for all to see.
"For us to come here and get the three points is magnificent.
"The run we are on keeps confidence up and gives us that momentum.
"We were disciplined in the second half today and it was always going to be one goal that settled the game. I'm very pleased that it came to us and we were able to close the game out."

He has formed a great partnership with Dean Leacock. I can't believe he was on his way to Coventry last year. A great team player
