Davies To Return

Davies To Return

Andrew Davies is set to return to the team after missing the game against Wolves.

“Andy trained for an hour with Steve Taylor and came through fine and should join in with the rest of the lads today, our fingers are crossed that he will be fit for Saturday.”

On other matters.

“I'm not sure having Lewin (Nyatanga) playing in the tournament will benefit us especially as he looks likely to play some part of our game at Hull on Saturday and then against Queen's Park Rangers the following weekend.

“Lewin is in the first-team squad at the moment and will only go down the pecking order if I can get some centre-backs in before Saturday, but that is not likely to be the case.

“We needed a centre-back to come in at Wolves and Lewin came up trumps.

“To come up against the likes of Carl Cort and Kenny Miller on your full League debut, and come through it, is no mean achievement.

“Lewin has been playing for the Welsh under-21s but he also qualifies for the Under-17 and 19 teams. They are keen to have him involved, but we also need him.”
