Davies Excited To Get Going

Curtis Davies says that Derby County are ready for the new season and he is excited to get going for his new club.

The Rams head to the Stadium of Light on Friday to take on Sunderland in front of the SkySports cameras in the season opener with Davies in line to make his competitive debut after making the move from relegated Hull City this summer. Talking to the defender said:

"We`ve done all the hard work and there`s no excuses now, everyone wants to get going and prove how good we are. There`s an air of excitement and all the hard work during pre-season, as much as it isn`t fun running around, it`s all for a goal. That goal is in sight and it`s an exciting first game for us and hopefully it`s one we can win."
