Loan deal falls through

Ipswich and Derby are both set to be disappointed by Tottenham's stance regarding Grzegorz Rasiak.

Ipswich boss Royle said: 'I did ask about Rasiak but I can understand Tottenham's position right now.

'They've got a great season going there and will be losing Mido when he goes off to play in the African Nations Cup.'

The only hope for Derby and Ipswich is that the host nation Egypt get knocked out in the group stages.

If that unlikely scenario does transpire, Mido may return just before the end of the transfer window and Rasiak could then be allowed to leave on loan.
