Chelsea In The Cup

Derby County have been drawn at home to Chelsea in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup with the tie due to be played on the first weekend of 2014.

Derby County were ball number 15 in the draw and were one of the last ties out of the bag when being pitted against the former European champions at the iPro Stadium on the week of 4th/5th January 2014. Speaking immediately after the draw Head Coach Steve McClaren told dcfc.co.uk:

"We`re up against a big opponent and that will mean a big test for the players. They will want to test themselves against one of the best teams in the country and Europe so I think it`s great for them. It`s exciting for the fans too and I`m sure a great crowd will be at the iPro Stadium for it as well as it should be a cracking FA Cup tie."
