Boundary Park For Derby

Derby County have been drawn away to Oldham Athletic in the first round of the Capital One Cup with the game set to be played at Boundary Park in the week commencing August 5th.

The Rams have exited the League Cup under its various guises at the first hurdle to lower league clubs in each of the last four seasons having lost to Rotherham United, Crewe Alexandra and Shrewsbury Town before last year`s amazing 5-5 draw with Scunthorpe United that they eventually lost on penalties.

The last time Derby progressed beyond the first round they reached the semi-finals where they took on Manchester United, recording a famous 1-0 victory at Pride Park, before losing 4-3 on aggregate. Former Derby loanee Lee Johnson is now in charge at Boundary Park and will be looking to put one over on the club he spent time at in 2010 and keep their miserable run in the competition going.
