Clough Wants Another Striker

Nigel Clough is continuing to work to strengthen his squad over the summer and is looking to bring in another striker to bolster their attacking options.

With Nathan Tyson and Theo Robinson being placed on the transfer list Clough is looking to add to his options as he wants to rotate his strikeforce more in new season. Chris Martin has already made his loan move from Norwich City permanent but Clough is looking for a fourth forward with a pacey striker a possibility to line-up alongside his current players. Talking to dcfc.co.uk about his strikers Clough said:

"We`re trying to get four strikers of a good quality on the books and with Chris Martin, Jamie Ward and Conor Sammon here for next season, and we are now looking to bring one more in. The plan is to rotate our forwards a little bit more next season, to make sure they`re a bit fresher and allow them to have a greater impact in matches, whether that`s from the start or coming off the bench. We have four or five names on our list and we`re looking to get one of those through the door this summer."
