Bryson Signs New Deal

Bryson Signs New Deal

Craig Bryson has agreed to a new deal that will keep him at Pride Park until the summer of 2013 as the squad continues to take shape for next season.

Bryson joined The Rams from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2011 and his form in his first season saw him win the Player of the Year award and become an integral part of the Derby midfield. Over his two seasons at the club the midfielder has made eighytfive appearances scoring eleven goals and has also earned a call-up to the Scotland squad for their trip to the United States of America last summer. Bryson will put pen to paper on his new deal when he returns from holiday and is looking forward to the new season in which he sees the club pushing up the league. Talking to dcfc.co.uk about the deal Bryson said:

"We`ve got a strong team in place already with an excellent spirit and the manager has made no secret of the fact he wants to add to it over the summer to see if we can have an even better season next year, which is quite exciting. I`ve really enjoyed the last two seasons and I think with the progress we`ve made in that time, especially in the last 12 months, we can kick on and make a real challenge towards the top six next season. I want to be part of what the club is trying to achieve, so it`s great we`ve got something sorted and I`ve made it clear for a while that I`ve settled into the area and wanted to stay."
