Martin Looking For More Wins

Chris Martin is happy to see Derby County return to winning ways after their recent run of eight games without a victory and wants the side to finish the season on a high.

Martin`s loan from Norwich City was extended to the end of the season during the international break and after scoring his first goal for The Rams he is looking for the side to keep up their winning ways after back-to-back victories going into the televised clash with Leeds United. The striker was inches away from his second goal in consecutive matches in the 3-0 victory over Bristol City when Craig Forsyth`s inviting cross was just too far ahead of his late run into the area. Having not tasted victory until the final game of his initial loan spell Martin now wants the team to go on a run for the final seven games to push up the league table and told dcfc.co.uk:

"It is good to get that winning feeling back, after going through a tough spell. The international break might have been a blessing in disguise for us, because a lot of the lads needed a breather and now everyone is refreshed to go again. We`re all confident of having a good end to the season and hopefully we can get a few wins in succession now, and see where that takes us."
