Two More Rams Earn International Calls

Theo Robinson and Jamie Ward are the latest Derby County players to be receive international call-ups with the squads for upcoming World Cup qualifiers for Jamaica and Northern Ireland being announced.

Robinson qualifies to play for Jamaica through his grandparents and has been named in Theodore Whitmore`s squad for their qualifier against Mexico on February 6th. The former Millwall striker missed the FA Cup defeat to Blackburn Rovers at the weekend with tonsillitis but he is The Rams leading scorer this season with nine goals so far. The call-up is a first for Robinson who has yet to earn an international cap.

Ward has only recently returned from a spell out with a hamstring problem but has been named in the Northern Ireland squad by manager Michael O`Neill for their friendly in Malta during the international break. Ward has four caps so far and made his first start last September in the World Cup qualifier away to Russia.
