Legzdins Establishing Himself

Adam Legzdins continued his run in The Rams side making his twentieth consecutive appearance in the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest and now appears to have established himself as first choice goalkeeper for Nigel Clough.

Legzdins moved to Pride Park from Burton Albion but only made two starts during his first season and had to bide his time backing up Frank Fielding. The 26-year-old made his first start against Brighton & Hove Albion on October 6th after Fielding injured his groin and he has not looked back making the goalkeeper position his own starting the subsequent nineteen games even when the former England Under-21 man returned to fitness. Talking to the Derby Evening Telegraph about his run in the side Legzdins said:

'I feel I am getting into a rhythm now of playing and, hopefully, having a positive effect on the team. Last year I felt I was in good form and I had faith in my ability but you have to wait for your time. I got my head down, I am not one to complain. We have got a terrific squad of players here and when you get the opportunity, you have got to take it."
