Trio Earn International Call-Ups

Richard Keogh , Conor Sammon and Jeff Hendrick have earned call-ups to the Republic of Ireland`s squad for their friendly against Poland early next month, the game will be played in Dublin on Wednesday, February 6th.

All three of the players have represented their country at Under-21 level but none of them have been involved at this level before. Giovanni Trappatoni has decided to use the friendly to have a look at new players and has been to watch the trio turn out for The Rams a number of times this season. Derby manager Nigel Clough believes the call-ups are well deserved after their form this year and told the Derby Evening Telegraph:

"Richard and Conor have made big impacts on the side since arriving and Jeff has firmly established himself in our midfield over the past year. His performances in recent weeks have been as good as we've seen from him in a Derby shirt.

They are all extremely good characters and their call-ups are all richly deserved. We will all be watching with interest next month and we have no doubt they will do themselves and the club proud."
