Bryson's Knee Still A Concern
Craig Bryson`s knee injury kept him out of Derby County`s clash with Charlton Athletic on Saturday and The Rams are having to treat his knee injury with care to make sure he isn`t missing for longer than necessary.
Bryson suffered medial ligament damage against Cardiff City at the end of November and missed two games before returning against Bristol City on 15th December, he played in the following two games but sat out the draw at The Valley on Saturday. Nigel Clough has been having to nurse members of his squad through the busy festive period with Jamie Ward returning to the side at the weekend and Will Hughes also carrying a knock to his ankle. Talking to dcfc.co.uk about Bryson`s injury and wanting to manage his return to the side Clough said:
"Craig`s knee has been giving him some pain in the last few weeks, but we knew that was going to be the case when he made his comeback at Bristol City. He was ahead of schedule and we realised that we`d have to treat him carefully. He`s not been training too much and then playing games, but we knew there would come a point where we had to take him out the side just to give him a chance to let the knee settle down a bit."
