Jacobs Looking To Get Back On Track
Despite scoring his first goal since moving to Pride Park from Northampton Town during the summer Michael Jacobs was disappointed with the result and sees this afternoon`s trip to Turf Moor to take on Burnley as an opportunity to put things right.
Jacobs first goal for The Rams came on the stroke of halftime after a headed clearance from a corner came to him on the edge of the box and he took a touch before firing an unstoppable volley into the bottom corner of the net. However, Hull City took the spoils when Abdoulaye Faye headed in from a corner five minutes into the second period and the winger knows that with the short turnaround on games over the festive period that Derby don`t have long to wait to put things right. Talking to dcfc.co.uk about the game Jacobs said:
"Games do come thick and fast over this Christmas period, and it is a good opportunity for us to bounce back - we have not got to wait a week like we normally would. Charlie Austin produced two goals out of nothing earlier in the season at Pride Park, and it was on a day we played particularly well, so we owe them one and hopefully we can get all three points.'
