Rams Need To Improve On The Road

Having been disappointed to only take a point from league leaders Cardiff City Nigel Clough wants his Derby County side to take their Pride Park form on the road ahead of their televised clash with Leicester City on Saturday evening.

The Rams have only lost once at home this season and are now undefeated in six games on their own turf but have lost their last three games on their travels conceding eight goals and Clough knows his side need to tighten things up at the back if they are to start picking up results. Derby are at their best when on the front foot and attacking their opponents but they have gone with a more conservative approach away from Pride Park in recent times and Clough knows his side need to take a more positive approach telling Radio Derby:

'We have been reluctant to shoot and create chances away from home, but we have to try and get it into our heads to play like we do at Pride Park. It's a mentality thing and also the opposition. They are going to have a little go at you on their home turf. We haven't dealt with that properly or kept enough clean sheets away from home.'
