Naylor Joins Bradford

Young defender Tom Naylor has joined League Two side Bradford City on a two month loan deal and made his debut in their 1-0 defeat to Exeter City on Saturday having found first team opportunities at a premium this season.

Naylor made his only appearance in the Capital One Cup encounter with Scunthorpe United and was given a torrid time as the game finished 5-5 with The Rams going out on penalties. With John Brayford and Gareth Roberts firmly established in the fullback positions and James O'Connor an able deputy the former Mansfield Town youngster has struggled to even make the bench after a run in the side at the backend of last season.

Bradford manager Phil Parkinson enquired about Naylor's availability and Nigel Clough has allowed the 21-year-old to go out on loan to get some more playing time. Talking about the deal Parkinson told bradfordcityfc.co.uk:

'Tom is a terrific young player and we're very pleased to have him on board. Given the amount of games we have coming up in this next month or so, Tom will be a welcome addition.'
