'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hughes Has Bright Future

Frank Fielding believes that Will Hughes has a bright future ahead of him after an impressive start to the season for the 17-year-old.

Hughes made his debut in the final home game of last season against Peterborough United and he has started ten of the eleven matches played by The Rams so far this season with his passing and composure on the ball catching the eye. Hughes has represented England at Under-17 level and was also on standby for the Under-19`s friendly with Germany last month. Talking to the Derby Evening Telegraph about the youngster Fielding said:

'When he trained with us last season, you could see he had something. When I saw Will play in the final league games of last season against Peterborough United, I thought: 'He has got a hell of a chance'. The sky's the limit for him if he keeps his feet on the ground, which he will, because he is in our dressing room and we'll keep an eye on him.'
