Davies Joins Bristol City

Steve Davies` long awaited departure from Pride Park was confirmed yesterday when he left The Rams to sign for Bristol City and signed a three year deal with The Robins.

After turning down the offer of a new deal at the back end of last season there has been no secret made that the joint leading scorer would be on his was for personal reasons with Ipswich Town appearing to be the frontrunners at one point but after having had a bid accepted for the former Tranmere Rovers man Bristol City is his new destination.

The deal, believed to valued at around 750,000, will see the striker join up with former teammate Stephen Pearson at Ashton Gate and he will go straight into the squad for City`s clash with Crystal Palace later on today.
