Trialists To Be Given Another Run Out

Derby County will give another chance to trialists James Caton and Valentin Gjokaj as they take on Burton Albion later this afternoon in the second pre-season friendly ahead of the new campaign.

The two 18 year-olds played forty-five minutes each of the 2-1 defeat to Mansfield Town during the week and will be given another chance to impress at the Pirelli Stadium. Caton plays on the left side of midfield whilst Gjokaj played the first half alongside Richard Keogh at the heart of The Rams defence. Talking to the Derby Evening Telegraph about the Swiss defender Nigel Clough said:

'We thought Valentin did well at Mansfield. 'He is only 18 and has only come over this week from Switzerland, so we are going to have another look at him on Saturday. When we compare him to our 18-year-olds and players at first-year pro level, he is certainly up with them."
