White Stays At Leeds

Reported target Aiden White has decided to remain at Leeds United after putting pen to paper on a new three year deal at Elland Road.

Nigel Clough had held talks with the youngster with a view to bringing him in as cover for the full back positions but the Republic or Ireland Under-21 international decided the move was not for him and accepted the offer put on the table by Neil Warnock. The youngster would have provided cover down the left side of The Rams defence although he has also appeared in midfield towards the back end of last season. The search goes on for a backup for Gareth Roberts who will be first choice leftback in the new season although reports suggest a new striker is the priority for Clough.
