Croft Joins Oldham
Lee Croft has joined League One side Oldham Athletic on a season long loan after Nigel Clough made it clear the winger would not be part of his first-team plans this season.
Having spent the last part of last season on loan at St Johnstone and helping them win a place in the Europa League it was expected that the former Norwich City midfielder would be heading back north of the border for the upcoming season but he has instead chosen to return to Boundary Park where he spent time on loan during the early days of his career.
The move will see him re-united with former team-mate and Derby County loanee Paul Dickov who he played with at Manchester City. Speaking to the official Oldham Athletic website about the deal Dickov said:
'He had an indifferent time last season and is looking to get his career back on track. It speaks volumes that he has turned down the chance to play in the Scottish Premier League and also in Europe to play here.'
