'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Colchester Utd 4-3 Derby County

During his time at Preston, Billy Davies' sides were notorious for their defensive qualities - he must've been tearing his hair out at yesterdays shambles as a hat-trick from journeyman striker Jamie Cureton, and a Chris Iwelumo penalty, gave the U's the 3 points they richly deserved.

The plus point for the Rams was the first 2 goals in a Derby shirt for Arturo Lupoli, both of which were smart finishes.

Defensively, Derby were awful - Michael Johnson's good work in the last 3 games went out of the window, Lewin Nyatanga showed his inexperience in giving away the penalty, and Mo Camara confirmed what we already suspected regarding his defensive skills.

All in all, a day to forget - BD has made it quite clear that there are players who aren't committed to the club and is in the process of shipping them out accordingly. More new faces are also imminent, so the next few days should be very interesting.
