Fielding Raring To Go

Frank Fielding is raring to go again after a summer of rest and the release of the fixtures last week has signalled that pre-season is just around the corner for the former England Under-21 goalkeeper.

With rumours that he was going to be named in the Olympic squad coming to nothing and no inclusion in the England squad for the European Championships after John Ruddy dropped out with injury Fielding had a quiet summer compared to the previous year when he went to the Under-21 European Championships in Denmark. Despite this Fielding cannot wait to get started again telling dcfc.co.uk:

'It signals the end of the summer in many ways for me, with pre-season a few weeks away now it's time to get back into the swing of things and get fit again. I've had a good break and I've re-charged the batteries, especially as I didn't have much of a break last summer as I was away with the England under-21 squad for the majority of June. Even though the season is still two months away, mentally I am thinking the season is just around the corner and I'm ready to get going again now.'
