Wednesday Remain Keen On Maguire

Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly still keen to sign Derby County striker Chris Maguire despite having two bids for the striker turned down in recent weeks. The Rams paid around 450,000 for the Scottish player when they brought him in from Aberdeen last season but he did not settle at Pride Park making only three starts and scoring two goals in a total of eight appearances.

There were rumours of a bust up with Nigel Clough before he joined Portsmouth on loan in March where he scored three goals in eleven appearances but he couldn`t help prevent the club from being relegated to League One. After Maguire returned to Derby at the end of the season Clough went on record to say he is willing to listen to offers for the striker should the price be right and Wednesday have shown their interest in taking him to Hillsborough.
