Croft Joins St Johnstone
Lee Croft has joined Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone on loan until the end of the season after finding his chances limited at Pride Park making five starts and a further five appearances from the bench. After featuring in pre-season and the first few games of the season Croft fell down the pecking order and despite turning out for the reserves on a regular basis he hasn`t been able to force his way back into Nigel Clough`s plans.
Croft has made thirty-one appearances in total after joining on a free from Norwich City in the summer of 2009 but has decided on a move north of the border to get some games under his belt with his contract up in the summer. Speaking to dcfc.co.uk about the deal Nigel Clough said:
'This is a good chance for Lee to go out and get a regular run of games under his belt in the second half of the season.'
