Leacock Joins Orient

Dean Leacock has joined League One side Leyton Orient after agreeing to the cancellation of the remainder of his contract and will remain there until the end of the season after agreeing terms. Leacock joined The Rams in August 2006 from Fulham and helped Derby to the Premiership at the first time of asking under Bill Davies as they beat West Bromwich Albion in the play-off final at Wembley.

Leacock made one hundred and twenty-seven appearances for Derby during his five year spell and scored the only goal of his career in a 1-1 draw with Barnsley in September 2010. Orient were delighted to bring the defender in with manager Russell Slade telling their official website:

'We're delighted to add Dean to the squad. He has a fine pedigree having played all his career in the Premier League and the Championship. We've had to bide our time and work hard to get our man and we're looking forward to seeing him in red and white.'
