Fielding Called Up To Full Squad

Frank Fielding has been called up to the full England squad after Robert Green dropped out with injury ahead of their European Championship Qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales. Fielding has been called up to the full squad once previously as the third goalkeeper and was out in Spain when the news came through that he was being drafted into the squad as an injury replacement for West Ham`s Green. Talking to the official website Fielding spoke of his pride at the call-up saying:

'I'm honoured and very privileged to have been called up to the England squad. I was a bit surprised when I heard the news, as I wasn't really expecting it. One minute I'm with the lads at the training camp in Spain, and the next moment I'm packing my bags and getting ready to come home again. It does take a while to sink in, but luckily I have previous experience of being in the senior squad so it won't be all new to me and there will be a few familiar faces knocking around too I am sure."
