Green To See Specialist

Paul Green has not put a timeframe on his recovery from the serious knee injury he picked up against Cardiff City at the backend of last season but he has been working hard at his rehabilitation. The Republic of Ireland international went down awkwardly during his sides 4-1 defeat at the Cardiff City Stadium and his worst fears were confirmed after he saw a specialist who diagnosed a cruciate and medial ligament injury with initial estimates putting his return no earlier than December. Speaking to the Derby Evening Telegraph in relation to his long road back to fitness Green said:

'There is no timetable on when I will be back. I knew it was a serious injury as soon as I did it. I've been in most of the summer doing my rehab and it is getting there. I am going to see the specialist next month, so I should have a rough idea then of how I am progressing. It is a long process but it is all about gradually getting some movement and strength back into my knee.'
