'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Birmingham First Up

Derby County will open the season with a home clash with Birmingham City at Pride Park on August 6th with the new fixtures being announced today. Beside the opening day the most eagerly awaited games, those against Nottingham Forest, will take place at the City Ground on Saturday, September 17th with the return at Pride Park on Saturday, February 4th 2012.

Unfortunately, as usual, due to the legal eagles of the Football League and the money men of Dataco, we at Vital Derby can`t show the fixtures. That`s right even as a fans site, we can`t publish the fixtures - adverts for the games we pay good money to go and see - without paying a fee which none of us can afford to pay and wouldn`t even if we could. It also defies the European Court of Justice about publishing fixture charges but hey, we don`t have the financial backing to challenge that.
