'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Brown Denies Anderson Interest

Craig Brown has cooled talk that he tried to take Russell Anderson back to Aberdeen but has confirmed he spoke to the former Dons` player about his current situation. Anderson made over 300 appearances whilst at Pittodrie before joining Sunderland for 1m in 2007, injuries blighted his time at the Stadium of Light and he joined The Rams in January 2010 on a short term deal before signing a longer deal and currently has eighteen months left on his contract. Speaking to The Daily Record Brown said:

'I know Russell well and I called him to ask about certain players that he'd played with or against. We also spoke about how he was getting on at Derby, as you would expect."

I would love to take him back but I know that won't happen right now. He is under contract with Derby and is enjoying his time there. It's annoying that this has turned into a failed bid to sign him, when it was nothing of the sort.'

Vital Derby is now available on both facebook and twitter, so if you are that way inclined and more importantly understand all this new fangled dangled stuff, feel free to watch us, poke us or whatever else you are meant to do there!
