Clough In For Burton Keeper

Paul Peschisolido has confirmed the Derby County have made enquiries about goalkeeper Adam Legzdins and have out in a bid although the two sides have not agreed on a fee. Legzdins made fifty-one appearances for The Brewers last season after having been released by Crewe Alexandria the previous summer and was voted both the fans` and players` player of the season after being one of their most consistent performers. After using five keepers last season Nigel Clough looks set to bolster that area of his squad to cover all eventualities with Saul Deeney also due to return from injury next season. Whilst he is reluctant to sell the keeper Peschisolido told the Derby Evening Telegraph:

'When a massive club like Derby come calling for one of your players, it is difficult not to let them go if they are interested. But we are running a business, we have a value for Adam and until that valuation is met, he remains our player. He has a year left to run on his contract and he is not someone we want to lose."

'There have been a few other snippets of interest in Adam but nothing as concrete as Derby's. We'd like him to stay as he was our most consistent performer this season and you never want to lose your best players. I am in contact with his agent to see if we can sort something out.'
