Rams Duo Look Set To Move On

Two of Derby County`s squad look as though they will be searching for new clubs next season as Ben Pringle has been told he can look leave and Luke Varney`s move to Blackpool may have been scuppered following their relegation from the Premiership. Pringle joined The Rams from Ilkeston Town in the summer of 2009 as part of the development squad but has made only seven starts for the first team during his two seasons at Pride Park with a further sixteen appearances from the bench. The youngster spent time on loan at Torquay United towards the back end of last season making a further five starts but returned in order to fight for his place in the side. Despite this it appears that he has not developed as Nigel Clough would have liked with the announcement that he has been told he can look for a new club.

Varney scored five goals in thirty-one appearances for The Tangerines in their Premiership stay but the season ultimately ended in disappointment following their relegation by a point after losing 4-2 to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday. Despite still having a year left on his contract he is not expected to be an active member of Nigel Clough`s squad and may well be looking for another new club with Blackpool`s drop out of the top flight casting doubts on a permanent switch to Bloomfield Road.
