Loan Players - More Ayala Please

Daniel Ayala is the player most Rams fans want to see back at Pride Park next season after an impressive loan spell from Liverpool according to the latest Vital Derby poll. The central defender has looked assured at the back for Derby and looks to have a bright future ahead of him after making his Spanish Under-21 debut during his spell in the side. Nigel Clough has spoken of his desire to bring the defender back after the summer break although he admits there may be some competition for his services and it will also depend on Liverpool`s decision on how best to utilise him next season.

Frank Fielding came second with 21% of the vote with rumours rife that he will be one of the first new signings in the summer with a deal reportedly in place after the young keeper was allowed to continue training with his potential new teammates following the end of his second loan spell. Jamie Ward polled 20% of the votes and again it looks increasingly likely that he will be joining The Rams at the end of the current season with his loan deal turning into a permanent move. The Sheffield United striker will sit out the final home game of the season on Saturday serving the second game of a suspension for his red card against Burnley last weekend. Alberto Bueno was next with 17% after being in an out of the side in recent months and Clough has said whilst he would like to have him back it will depend on Valladolid`s plans for the player and who Derby bring in permanently in the summer.
