Pearson interest hots up

As reported by Vital Derby earlier this week Celtic midfielder Stephen Pearson is a Rams target, with the Daily Record indicating that a bid of £600,000 has been made.

Pearson is believed to be keen to link up again with his former mentor at Motherwell, Rams boss Billy Davies. The players agent Willie Mackay told the Daily Record: 'Billy has always thought highly of Stephen, and Stephen believes Billy to be one of the best young managers in the country.

'It was a dream come true when he signed for Celtic but the chance of playing for Billy again excites him.'

Pearson played a full game for the Bhoys last night in a 0-0 draw with Mexican side Chivas, the 2nd game of their US tour.
