Derby County have brought in striker Theo Robinson on an emergency loan from Millwall with a view to the deal being made permanent in the summer, the 22 year old scored against The Rams earlier in the season at The Den in a 2-0 victory and Nigel Clough believes the player will add some much needed pace to his side. The striker only joined Millwall in January having spent three months on loan from Huddersfield Town but he has failed to settle in the capital and Kenny Jackett has allowed him to move closer to home. Speaking to dcfc.co.uk in relation to the new addition Clough said:
'Theo is another forward with raw pace and we've found out to our cost what he is capable of in front of goal this season. Like Jamie Ward; he is someone we've monitored for some time because he has scored goals wherever he has been.'
Robinson will go straight into The Rams` squad for this evening`s clash with Hull City and has spoken of his joy at the move and his eagerness to get involved telling the official site:
'I'm very happy to be here and with a game tonight, it's really exciting, I'm ready if called upon and I hope I can play some part. It will be a tough game for us tonight against Hull, they are doing really well but hopefully we can get a victory and I really can't wait to get going."
