Ayala Joins On Loan

Derby County have completed the capture of young Spanish defender Daniel Ayala on a season long loan from Liverpool and the goes straight into the squad for tomorrow`s televised clash with Leicester City. The youngster was due to complete his switch on the final day of the transfer window in January but the deal was put on hold due to Ayala still recovering from a hamstring problem picked up before Christmas. This has now recovered sufficiently for the deal to be completed and he adds to Nigel Clough`s defensive options over the upcoming weeks. Speaking of his delight at the deal Clough told dcfc.oc.uk:

'He is a talented defender who we've seen in action on numerous occasions and feel he has the qualities to help improve our defensive record, which we feel has not been good enough lately.

This deal has been in the pipeline for a few weeks and we've had to remain patient, but the hard work has now paid off and we're pleased to have Daniel with us.'
