Westley leaves DCFC

Most fans will remember Terry Westley for the way he carried out the role of caretaker manager for the 2nd half of last season, guiding the Rams to Championship safety after the sacking of Phil Brown.

However his legacy at the club is the fantastic work carried out with the academy, producing the likes of Tom Huddlestone, Lewin Nyatanga and Giles Barnes.

TW will be sorely missed and Derby will hope they can quickly get a new man in to fill his boots - it may be no coincidence that Preston's director of youth Kevin Thelwell has left Deepdale, possibly to rejoin Billy Davies at Moor Farm.
