Anderson To Miss Watford Clash

Russell Anderson is set to miss the Watford game this weekend with a hamstring strain picked up playing for the reserves in midweek. Anderson picked up the injury and was replaced at halftime of the 1-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday and has not recovered sufficiently in time for tomorrow`s clash. The Scottish defender has only recently returned to the first team squad after recovering from a groin strain picked up at Elland Road on the opening day and came off the bench in recent victories against Preston North End and Doncaster Rovers.

Although the loss will not affect the starting lineup it will certainly cut Nigel Clough`s defensive options and The Rams` manager is aware of Watford`s threat away from home where they have picked up a number of impressive results this season. In relation to their upcoming opponents he told the Derby Evening Telegraph:

'They appear to be more dangerous on the road than they are at home at the moment. They've won four, including a 6-1 win at Millwall, and you couldn't see anybody putting six past Millwall the way they defended against us last Saturday."
