Buxton Injury Problems Continue

Jake Buxton will miss the start of pre-season training as he has not sufficiently recovered from the groin problems that kept him out of action at the end of last season. Nigel Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph:

'Jake's had this groin/stomach injury, which we have had a problem diagnosing exactly what it is, he's been seeing specialists since the end of the season and nobody has been able to pinpoint yet what it is. We're hoping we can get to the bottom of it but he is unlikely to start pre-season at this stage.'

Buxton made 24 appearances for The Rams last season after joining in the summer from Burton Albion and despite a shaky start went on to indicate that he may have what it takes to make the grade in the Championship.
