Hulse On His Way?
Amidst the growing speculation over Rob Hulse`s Derby County future comes the surest sign yet that The Rams would be willing to do a deal for their leading scorer. Talking to the Derby Evening Telegraph in relation to a story linking the striker with a return to former club Leeds United Crosby revealed:
"As much as we'd like to keep Rob, financially, we will maybe look to sell him, so we'll just see what happens with that."
"You do hear various things but it is only talk at the moment. There is nothing definite. Other clubs will be active in the market and most clubs want a striker who is going to get you some goals.'
Hulse has been Derby`s leading scorer for the last two seasons since joining The Rams in a £1.75m deal in July 2008 under former manager Paul Jewell and penning a three year deal. Having hit thirty goals in two seasons at a ratio of better than one in every three starts the former Sheffield United hitman is now entering the final year of his contract and Derby appear willing to cash in now rather than let him see out the final year of his contract and losing him for nothing.
