Brayford And Bailey To Join Derby?

Nigel Clough revealed that Derby were closing in on more signings this week and two have moved a step closer today as Crewe's John Brayford and James Bailey are getting close to completing a double move to Pride Park.

"We are very close to a deal now. Everything has been agreed between the two clubs and both players are eager to go to Derby. They have not signed yet but we do not envisage any problems."

Crewe manager Dario Gradi told his club's official website.

22-year-old Brayford has been a long-term target for his former Burton boss Clough and 21-year-old Bailey is a product of the Crewe academy. The deals are expected to be completed within 48 hours as they are at an advanced stage with contract negotiations.
